MAKTrek 3-D Probiotic Delivery System
The MAKTrek 3-D Probiotic Delivery System provides significant safeguards that may ensure better survival of the living beneficial probiotic bacteria. The following are the 3 D’s of the MAKTrek 3-D system:
1st D – Two Step Acid Protection
The probiotic bacteria are enrobed by an extract of Brown Seaweed (Lessonia nigrescens) called complex marine polysaccharides.
Once blended the final powder is encapsulated.
When the capsule is swallowed it’s going to come in contact with the stomach acid. The acid will then dissolve the capsule. The complex marine polysaccharides will form a secondary internal capsule protecting the living probiotic cells from the acid.
2nd D – In-Transit Buffering
This step is a proprietary all natural buffering system that helps to support the in-transit digestive environment condition. Probiotic cells prefer balance and this system supports this balance.
3rd D – Additional Safeguards
The researched and documented strains used are naturally equipped to handle exposure to some common environmental elements that can and do make survival dificult for these beneficial probiotic bacteria.
The MAKTrek 3-D Probiotic Delivery System has been scientifically studied using a specified stomach acid exposure simulation. During this simulation the MAKTrek 3-D protected probiotic supplement showed greater survival than simply acid protection alone.
How Does the Digestive System Work?
The digestive process starts as soon as you place food in your mouth. The saliva and chewing are the first steps to proper digestion of you food. Present in saliva are some enzymes that start the process. In the mouth also exist the presence of good and bad bacteria.
After chewing your food you then swallow. When you swallow the food will travel the entire length of the GI (Gastrointestinal) tract by a process called peristalsis which is the muscular contractions designed to propel food forward. This movement is sort of like a wave in the ocean. Once swallowed the food travel down the throat and esophagus to the stomach. The presence of food in the stomach initiates the production of acid, which is key in breaking down the food.
After the food has been broken down in the stomach it moves on to the small intestines. This is where food particles are digested and nutrients are extracted. Whatever remains, is regarded as by the body to be waste.
The so-called waste now enters the large intestines or as it is steadily referred “the Colon”. Here the water is removed from the waste and absorbed. The remaining waste material is then eliminated through the rectum and anus. In colon is lined with a protective mucosal barrier. A healthy mucosal barrier protects the body from absorbing potentially harmful organisms and toxins.
What is Bacteria?
Bacteria are single-celled microorganisms found all over on Earth – in water, soil, plants, and in most every part of your body. There are fewer bacteria that reside in the stomach due to the highly acidic environment. This is much the reason that all Probulin products use a unique protective system called the MAKTrek 3-D Probiotic Delivery System. This system helps to ensure that a greater number of surviving beneficial bacteria make it through the stomach and exposure to acid on their trek to the intestines.
Not all bacteria are bad, in fact scientists know that even bad bacteria aren’t a problem just as long as there is enough good bacteria to keep them in check. The most important thing about good and bad bacteria is that there exists a proper balance.
Bacteria that populate your GI tract are known as gut flora. Gut flora are unique to everyone, almost like fingerprints. During birth babies swallow the bacteria that is present in the birth canal and soon this bacteria colonizes the newborn’s intestines. Once this bacteria is established your body will recognize them as normal and They’ll begin to perform their almost innumerable actions to support your health.
What is a Probiotic?
Probiotics are living microorganisms, which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host. Your native intestinal micro flora is your indigenous probiotics. Probiotic supplements provide beneficial living bacteria, such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobactia, that help to support digestive balance and digestive health.
Many factors may contribute to an imbalance of your native gut flora such as diet, stress, illness, certain medications such as antibiotics, aging and much more. Such an imbalance may contribute to digestive upset and may lead to other issues.
The concept of probiotics was born in the early 20th century when Russian scientist Elie Metchnikoff hypothesized about the use of fermented milk and using them to elicit health benefits for people that consumed the yogurt like fermented milk. He concluded that the fermented milk product helped to “seed” the intestines with friendly beneficial bacteria. By seeding the intestines with these friendly probiotic bacteria he found that it may help suppress the growth of bad bacteria or at the very least keep things in balance. These fermented milks are the best examples of early probiotics.
What is a Prebiotic?
It is food for the probiotics. These prebiotics actually help the probiotics grow and flourish. They are extremely important in supporting the survival of probiotics.
Prebiotic important properties include:
Healthy bacteria – buildiing potential
They are actually fiber
They are indigestible by bad bacteria
They are food for the probiotics
The three most common prebiotics are Inulin (used in all Probulin products), oligofructose, and polydextrose. It is key when choosing a probiotic supplement that you look for prebiotic fiber like Inulin.
