Improve Mood And Sense Of Well-being
The Mucuna Pruriens plant grows natively in the Caribbean, and some parts of India and Africa. It thrives in tropical-like conditions, growing to 15 meters high. The plant bears seeds or beans which contain the bulk of its L-Dopa, as much as 100 micrograms per seed. These seeds have been harvested for centuries and used as folk medicinals for a variety of ailments including muscle pain and sexual problem. Whilst it is unclear if Mucuna is an effective therapy for all of the various conditions which tribal cultures used it for, we now know that by drying the seeds and concentrating them into an extract, we have the ability to effectively supplement an L-Dopa dosage, plus dopamine, into the human body. Dopamine is not able to cross the blood brain barrier which is what separates your circulating blood from brain tissue and neurons. So if you were to simply consume dopamine, most of it would be degraded all through digestion and never make it to the brain. For this reason, taking a precursor to dopamine such as L-Dopa, which is bioavailable, guarantees maximum efficacy. Most commercial L-Dopa supplements come in the form of Mucuna Pruriens extract, a plant-derived powder.
L-Dopa for Sexual Health
L-Dopa (Mucuna Pruriens Extract) contains natural secretagogues which may support the body’s ability to stimulate natural energy support and metabolism. The blood carries the dopamine into the brain, where it naturally increases energy production from the pituitary gland. The increased dopamine level also optimize the production of testosterone, leading to increased sex drive and improved sexual performance for both men and women, beneficial in stimulating muscle growth, as well as burning fat from fat cells. Taking an L-Dopa dosage could be the key to brighter mood, enhanced sexual health, and even increased longevity. This essential amino acid occurs naturally in some foods, plants like the Mucuna Pruriens, as well as in our bodies. Once released into the blood, L-Dopa becomes a pre-cursor to neurotransmitters such as dopamine, epinephrine (adrenaline) and norepinephrine (noradrenaline). By stimulating these and other hormones, L-Dopa helps create a state of mental alertness, enhanced sensitivity to stimulus, and increased ability to build lean muscle mass.
Natural energy booster
Once consumed, L-Dopa is converted into Dopamine. It does this when it comes into contact with DOPA decarboxylase. Dopamine immediately relays messages to nerve cells which govern pleasure and arousal responses. Then it stimulates the release of additional hormonal neurotransmitters in the hypothalamus and pituitary gland. These include epinephrine and norepinephrine, which boost metabolism and energy. Every L-Dopa dosage results in an increased release of Testosterone, enhancing bone density and leading to the growth of lean muscle mass. Sexual health is also improved in the form of increased libido. L-Dopa becomes a neuro-protective element. Not only will it keep brain function from decaying as a result of lack of dopamine, it’s going to boost healthy brain function as well, increasing concentration and mental acuity. L-Dopa is known to reduce symptoms of depression, ennui and fatigue, promoting instead a general feeling of wellbeing and peacefulness. Concurrently, metabolism is spiked, creating strong natural energy. L-Dopa supplements are steadily marketed as weight training aids.
Long before chemicals, labs, and appointed health authorities, natural plants and practical knowledge formed the foundation for medicine. Indian Ayurvedic medicine, probably the most oldest holistic medical modalities, cataloged the healthy properties for thousands of plants. Mucuna pruriens, a tropical legume often referred to as velvet bean, has been used by ancient healers and is making waves in the scientific community. Ayurvedic herbal medicine has relied on Mucuna pruriens since 1500 BC to support ailments such as snakebite, intestinal problem, sexual response, and melancholy mood. Let’s check out the recent studies that have evaluated how this uncommon plant can support brain health and stress management. Research suggests Mucuna pruriens protects the brain by keeping cognitive and neural functions in check, even encouraging neural activity. The mechanism at the back of this is simple — all free radicals have an unpaired electron that makes them unstable in the body. Antioxidants donate an electron to the free radical to neutralize its effects, particularly on the brain. Mucuna has an added benefit in that it fights systemic redness in the brain.
